An open-pollinated variety, which means you can save seed from your best fruit and sow it again next year — a hybrid will not do that. The plants sprawl, so give them a stake or a cage early rather than trying to lift a loaded vine later. Expect smaller, thinner-skinned fruit than a hybrid, and a much stronger flavour.
